Call for volunteers for the Hour of Code!

Dear friends,

We are glad to share news that today is a start of Hour of Code initiative that is hosted in Ukraine by Microsoft and BrainBasket.

Hour of Code is global initiative that promotes IT among pupils by holding 1 specially designed class of informatics. More than 140 million of pupils all over the world have participated in the Hour of Code already!

We invite you to take part in the initiative and hold such a lesson at one of Ukrainian schools! All materials and recommendations are available online and you will need only few hours for preparation. Such lesson will show pupils that informatics can be interesting and fun and they can continue studying it on absolutely new level.

All lessons are based on Scratch visual programming language and look like well-known games - Angry Birds, Minecraft, Star Wars, etc. There is a variety of lessons so classes can be held for students of 5-11 classes. Here you can take a look and try these interactive lessons.

If you are eager to participate – please contact Anna Torba anna@brainbasket.org and she will provide you with all necessary materials. First 30 volunteers will get unique T-shirts!
