On 18 November 2011, Kharkiv National University of Economics hosted the 3rd International Theoretical and Practical Conference The Problems and Prospects of IT Industry Development.

The conference was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Department of Economical Informatics.

The official opening of the conference began at 10.30 in the assembly hall of the University of Economics.

After the welcoming speech given by Prorector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor M.V.Afanasyev, project presentations began.
