All-Ukrainian Best Mini-Film Contest

1 December 2011-28 January 2012 will see the All-Ukrainian Contest for the Best Amateur Mini-Film shot on a mobile phone in the Cossack village of Mamayeva Sloboda based on Nikolay Gogol´s The Night Before Christmas.

Contest Conditions:

- shooting must be made in Mamayeva Sloboda only on a mobile phone on the topic of The night before Christmas;

- film characters are Oksana and Vakula, Catherine II, Potyomkin, Dyak (vicar) and Solokha, Cossacks Chub, Sverbyzub and Patsyuk, the Devil and other residents of the Ukrainian village;

- the language of the film must be childrens´s and young people´s communication language in the style of Gogol (Ukrainian);

- the length of the finished film must not exceed 10 minutes;

- the finished film must be submitted before 21 January 2012, i.e. sent to the following e-mail address: mamayevasloboda@gmail.com

- the authors of the film must state their age, class and their school´s postal address.

Contest Results:

• all finished films shot in Mamayeva Sloboda on a mobile phone will be available on the website Mamayeva Sloboda and YouTube;
• 10 best films (selected by the number of views) will be shown on the main square of Mamayeva Sloboda, and it is among them that a competent jury will pick the winner;
• the winner will get gifts from the Kazak village of Mamayeva Sloboda and the sponsors of the contest.
