Contest My country is European Ukraine

The aim of the contest:

- promote a change in social awareness of Ukrainians;

- reform social relations;

- search for ways of europenizing Ukraine;

- stir to activity pro-European social forces in Ukraine.

Tasks:

• initiate a big public discussion about the content and essence of European values and standards of social life;
• popularize in Ukraine the best European experience in social, humanitarian, political, economical and other areas;
• strengthen the need for Europenization and Euro integration of Ukraine;
• raise the awareness of Ukrainian youth and society as a whole concerning the form and content of Euro integration processes;
• stir up pro-European social and political forces in Ukraine, etc.

Contest conditions:

1. Only Ukrainian citizens aged 16-45 can participate in the Contest.

2. To participate in the Contest, candidates must send their creative writing and|or photographic works in electronic format via Internet at the electronic address of the Organizing Committee.

3. Written work must be in Ukrainian in electronic format. One author can submit only one work 3-5 A4 pages long (font Times New Roman, type size 14, spacing 1.5, standard margins).

4. At the beginning of their work, participants must state their full name (first name, patronymic, last name), year of birth, postal address, contact phone number, e-mail and the topic of their work. Secondary school and university students must give the name of their educational institution as well as their grade or year of study.

5. The following works will not be admitted to participate in the Contest:
- works containing unprintable words;
- works containing propaganda of violence, racism, open or concealed advertisements of goods or services as well as political parties;
- copies of works by well-known authors.

6. Only individual work will be admitted. Collective work will not be considered.

7. The submission of work automatically presupposes its author’s agreement with the rules of the Contest and permission to publish his|her work in case of victory. Participation of a work in the Contest does mean its copyright will be transferred to the Contest organizer. All copyright will be retained by the author. All controversial issues concerning the copyright will be resolved according to the effective legislation.

8. The topic of the essay will be chosen by the author in accordance with the general topic of the contest.

9. The works presented at the Contest will not be reviewed and returned.

Categories:

• works of students under the age of 17 of secondary schools (10-11 grades), vocational schools and other educational establishments;
• works of university students and other participants under the age of 24;
• works of young participants under the age of 45.

Assessment Criteria:

• Originality and non-conventional ideas;
• Individuality in writing;
• Topicality and full topic development;
• Social value of the author’s materials.

• Best work of photography – camera Canon EOS 500
